Anatoly Stepanovich Slepyshev (born in 1932) - is one of the most brilliant representatives of the Moscow’s school of painting. It's impossible to confuse his style with anyone else. His paintings are distinguished by the expression, free picturesque solutions and the unique imaginative world, plenty of fantasy. He's considered as the leader of the Moscow's unofficial art.
Slepyshev studied in Moscow State's artistic institute of Surikov. When he was young, his works was influenced a lot by Fonvisin and Chernishev. During the Soviet's regime Slepishev was a forbidden painter. After the period of perestroika, Anatoly Slepyshev tried to revive the concept of free artistic workshops in Moscow.
